(Syracuse, NY) Allegiant Airline announces new non-stop jet service between Hancock International Airport in Syracuse and Tampa Bay, Florida. Aviation Commissioner Christina Reale-Callhan says the Las Vegas-based airline will offer flights to the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport each Thursday and Sunday, starting November 7.
Tickets are available at an introductory rate of $99 through Wednesday in honor of Syracuse being the 99th market to offer Allegiant service. A second introductory rate of $65 ech way will be available between ugust 23 and August 27, on a first-come, first-serve basis. After the introductory special, flights between Syracuse and St. Pete will average $250 roundtrip.
"I am excited watch as this brand new air service takes off in the City of Syracuse," said Syracuse Mayor Stephanie A. Miner. "Whenever we are able to bring a new, competitive service to the Syracuse market, it is a boon for Central New York businesses and residents. This new, low cost service brings a successful period of airport news, including the creation of the new Syracuse Regional Airport Authority, preservation of the midnight shift at the control tower, and the opening of a new $60 million expansion to a new altitude."
