There's a boil water advisory in effect for a section of the City of Oswego.
The city says it lost water pressure to a section of the westside after some construction work was ongoing there.
The areas affected by the advisory include:
- Lathrop Street
- West Bridge Street between Liberty Street and West 8th Street
- West 8th Street between West Bridge Street and West Seneca Street
The city is urging residents there to bring their tap water to a rolling boil for one minute and cool before using, or use bottled water for the time being.
Repair work on the line is now completed but follow up tests need to be conducted to make sure the water is safe to drink, but the advisory may stay in effect for at least three days.
