North Syracuse School District voters approved the school budget for the 2013-2014 school year with a 58 percent approval.
The vote for the budget was 3,329 in favor and 2,365 opposed. The budget, which totals $143.5 million includes a tax levy increase of 3.45 percent. Superintendent Kim Dyce Faucett was quoted as saying, "I can't thank our community members enough for taking the time to vote. The district and community needed this "yes" to get us going on the right track and we are so grateful that our families came out to support us as we strive to give our students the educational opportunities they deserve."
