Brad Paisley fulfilled a dying man's wish over the weekend at his Virtual Reality tour stop in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Lee Feldman has terminal pancreatic cancer, and one of his big concerns at the end of his life is who will care for his beloved custom-made guitar.
Lee told a local TV station, "I had a dream. I thought, 'Who can I find that can play the frets off a guitar? And a voice said, 'Brad Paisley.'"
Lee was able to get in touch with Brad's camp, who in turn orchestrated a meeting between Lee and Brad before Brad's show on Saturday (October 6th).
Lee presented Brad with the guitar, and Brad shared his personal story about his late grandfather, Warren, who also died of pancreatic cancer and was the man responsible for teaching Brad to play the guitar as a child.
Brad also made a promise to Lee to not only play the guitar, but to use it on his next album. Lee said, "That's the greatest thing. I don't want that guitar to be a trophy. I don't want it to sit and collect dust. I want someone to play it, and that's why I gave it to him."
