There are so many reasons to unfriend someone on Facebook. Maybe you're just trying to clean up your friends list by getting rid of the ones you don't keep in touch with. Maybe it's a girlfriend or boyfriend who just broke up with you. Maybe it's someone whose frequent status updates annoy the crap out of you. Maybe you drop them over differing political opinions.
Whatever the reason, when you unfriend someone, you also invite a potentially awkward situation. Have you ever run into someone that you'd unfriended? Talk about uncomfortable.
